Social media marketing packages in India (2026): prices, what's included and how to choose

Short answer

Social media marketing packages in India cost about ₹10,000 to ₹1.5 lakh a month in 2026. Most of the price difference comes from how many reels you get, whether someone shoots them and whether paid ads are managed in the package. Ad spend and 18% GST are almost always extra.

  • Starter (freelancer or small studio): ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 a month
  • Growth (small agency): ₹25,000 to ₹60,000 a month
  • Full service (mid-size agency): ₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh a month
  • Compare packages on reels, shoots, ads and reporting, not post count

Search for social media marketing packages in India and you will find prices from ₹5,000 to ₹2 lakh a month for what sounds like the same thing. It isn't the same thing. A package is just a bundle of deliverables, and the bundle is where the real price hides.

This guide breaks down what each tier usually includes in 2026, what costs extra and how to compare two quotes properly.

What a social media marketing package includes

Most packages in India are built from the same parts. What changes is how much of each you get.

  • Static posts and carousels. Designed graphics for your feed, usually 8 to 20 a month.
  • Reels. Short videos, usually 2 to 12 a month. This is the biggest driver of reach in 2026 and the biggest driver of price.
  • Shoots. Someone films product, team or behind-the-scenes content. Many cheaper packages only edit footage you send.
  • Captions, hashtags and scheduling. Standard in almost every package.
  • Community management. Replying to comments and DMs. Ask how fast and during which hours.
  • Paid ads management. Running Meta (Instagram and Facebook) ads. Often a separate line item, and ad spend is always separate.
  • Strategy and reporting. A monthly plan and a report. Good reports talk about enquiries and sales, not only reach.

Social media marketing package prices in India (2026)

TierTypical monthly priceWhat you usually get
Starter₹10,000 to ₹25,0008 to 12 posts, 0 to 4 edited reels, 1 or 2 platforms, basic report
Growth₹25,000 to ₹60,00012 to 20 posts, 4 to 8 reels, community management, monthly report
Full service₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh20+ posts, 8 to 12 reels with shoots, Meta ads management, strategy calls
Enterprise₹1.5 lakh and upDedicated team, several platforms, campaigns, influencer work

These are typical market ranges for agencies and freelancers across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and other metros. Prices are usually quoted before 18% GST.

What is usually not in the package

  • Ad spend. Paid straight to Meta or Google. Budget at least ₹10,000 to ₹30,000 a month if you want ads to do real work.
  • Shoots outside the agency's city, models, locations and props.
  • Influencer fees. Creators charge separately.
  • Website or landing page work.
  • Extra revisions beyond the agreed rounds.

Ask for these in writing before you sign. Most "cheap" packages get expensive here.

How to compare two packages

Put the quotes side by side and compare these, in this order:

  1. Reels per month, and who shoots them. Four reels made from your own phone clips is not the same as four reels shot by the agency.
  2. Who does the work. Ask who writes, designs and edits. Senior people in the pitch should not disappear after onboarding.
  3. Ads. Is ad management included, and does the ad account stay in your name?
  4. Response time for comments and DMs.
  5. Reporting. Will they track enquiries, calls or sales, or only followers and reach?
  6. Contract. Month-to-month or a 90-day start is healthy. A 12-month lock-in on day one is a red flag.

Which tier is right for you?

  • New brand, small budget: a starter package keeps you consistent while you test what your audience responds to.
  • Brand ready to grow: a growth package with 4 to 8 reels a month is where most small businesses see reach and enquiries move.
  • Brand spending on ads: go full service, so the same team makes the creative and runs the ads. Creative and ads run by two different vendors is where most budgets leak.
Pay for reels and results. Post counts are the cheapest part of any package.

Red flags in social media packages

  • Guaranteed follower numbers.
  • Ads run from the agency's own ad account.
  • No live client pages they can show you today.
  • The same template look for every client.
  • Reports with only likes and reach.

Frequently asked

How much does a social media marketing package cost in India?

In 2026 most packages cost ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 a month from freelancers, ₹25,000 to ₹60,000 from small agencies and ₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh from mid-size agencies. Ad spend and 18% GST are usually extra.

What should a social media marketing package include?

At minimum: a monthly content plan, posts and reels, captions and scheduling, comment and DM replies, and a monthly report. Better packages add shoots, Meta ads management and reporting on enquiries or sales.

How many reels should a social media package include?

For most small and growing brands, 4 to 8 reels a month is the useful range in 2026. Ask whether the agency shoots them or only edits footage you send, because that changes the price and the quality a lot.

Is ad spend included in social media packages?

Almost never. The package covers the agency's work. Ad spend is paid directly to Meta or Google, ideally from an ad account in your own name.

Should I choose a monthly package or a long contract?

Start month to month or with a 90-day trial and agree on what a good result looks like. Avoid 12-month lock-ins before you have seen the agency's work on your account.
